Photography Made by the Sea

Brighton's favourite photography gallery, located on Brighton beach in the West Pier Arches between the i360 and the Upside Down House. Our collection features unique photographs by some of the city's best known photographers, alongside photobooks, greeting cards, and our famous ‘Sea Views’ calendar - Brighton’s only calendar made in the sea! The gallery is free to enter, dog-friendly, fully accessible and open every day except Tuesdays.

Established in 2014, the gallery is owned and run by Finn Hopson, a Brighton photographer known for his images of the South Downs and his photography made in the sea along the Sussex coast. He is also a regular contributor to the Brighton and Hove calendar, and is involved in the ongoing George Douglas archive project that was the surprise hit of the 2014 Artists Open House Festival, gaining national press attention and sparking a collaboration with the National Portrait Gallery.
